Built by a pharmacist, for the moment a drug is prescribed
Callara started at a pharmacy counter in Charlotte, NC, answering patient texts. Our focus now is one step earlier, when coverage and patient cost decide whether a prescription gets filled.

From the founder
Jack spent 14 years in pharmacy and directed a 340B contract pharmacy.
Every day I watched patients leave without the medication their doctor prescribed, because their plan wouldn’t cover it or they couldn’t afford it.
I built Callara so prescribers see coverage and cost while the patient is still in the room, and so pharmacies can find the OTC benefit dollars their patients already have.

How we work
A pharmacist’s judgment, in code.
- Clinical guardrailsCallara never recommends switching a patient off a drug they’re already on, and it leaves out drug classes where a switch is risky.
- Numbers you can checkPricing, eligibility and every figure we report come from deterministic code run on source data, so each one can be reproduced.
- HIPAA, end to endA BAA with every vendor, PHI masked in logs and role-based access. SOC 2 audit underway.
- Beside your systemsInstalls from the browser and runs beside your health record. The PioneerRx fill feed is live today. Other pharmacy systems are scoped at onboarding.
